Everyone loves cake and especially handmade cake freshly made using local foraged ingredients.
Liz, the founder of Litty’s Larder, is an artist and creating beautiful (and delicious) cakes is her art.
Here she tells us a little bit about her business; Litty’s Larder.
Looking for some edible joy? Litty’s Larder produces sustainable cakes and sweet treat creations. Bakes made from scratch, with the environment and folk in mind, and lots of love.
Offering birthday cakes, sweet treat selection boxes, postal treats, and cake creations for weddings and elopements. I run my artisan bakery from my home kitchen in East Lothian, making everything from scratch. I use a mix of seasonal, local, foraged, ethical, organic and natural ingredients, inspired by nature, to create unique cakes and bakes for folk. All packaged up in eco-friendly packaging.
I am a passionate self-taught baker, and have been baking for years, having learnt from my Mum, and my two Nanas, in the early days. Ever since I can remember, I have always loved baking, gathering and connecting with others. And through my baking, I encourage others to do this too. To gather, connect, celebrate, feast and slowdown with some of my baking, whether it be for a special occasion or over a cup of tea or coffee, either indoors or outside on a picnic rug. Wherever, whenever, and however folk chose.
I want my bakes to hit all the senses, and be part of a memorable experience for folk, whatever the occasion. That’s what I set out to achieve with every single bake I make. Bringing edible joy to folk!
